Pack It In
Fit every shape into the frame with no gaps and nothing hanging over the edge. Five worlds, each asking a different question. Nothing is timed.
Pack It In is a fitting puzzle. You are given a frame and a tray of shapes, and the whole job is to get every shape into the frame so that no square is left empty, nothing overlaps, and nothing hangs over the edge.
Pick a shape, turn it until it looks right, and put it down. If it does not work, take it back and try it somewhere else. Nothing is timed, nothing is lost, and you can rearrange the whole frame as many times as you like.
There are five worlds and each one asks a different question rather than handing you the same puzzle again:
- Fit the frame — where does each shape go?
- Odd shape — the frame has a bite out of it, so the space you are filling is no longer a neat rectangle.
- Keep them apart — every shape wears a mark, and two shapes with the same mark are not allowed to touch. A shape can fit somewhere it is not allowed to go.
- One left over — you get one shape more than the frame needs. Which one do you not need?
- Already started — some pieces are down before you arrive and cannot be moved. You have to read the space that is left.
It plays with the mouse, with a finger, or entirely from the keyboard: the number keys pick a shape, the arrow keys move it, R turns it, space puts it down and backspace takes it back.
